Data Scientist

Caerus is seeking experienced data scientists, developers, and data visualization experts to support a groundbreaking research team of social and computer scientists developing tools to support engaged end-users across the defense and intelligence communities.

The ideal candidate will be able to design research strategies based on customer requests, identify relevant data, and implement statistical and analytic functions in a cloud computing environment. We are a tool agnostic team, but applicants should have experience creating analytics in Python and Hive, handling multiple data types and formats. Familiarity with MapReduce/Hadoop and HDFS is also desirable. Active TS/SCI clearance is required.

Caerus Associates is seeking qualified analysts to join a team supporting Caerus’ on-going work related to Syria and Iraq. The superior candidate will have 7+ years of professional experience, at least 3 of which involved analyzing military and security affairs, including order of battle analysis, assessments of violent non-state actors, analysis of military tactics and operations, and overall conflict dynamics. Strong writing skills, the ability to work independently as well as part of a team, and robust analytical skills are all paramount

Caerus Associates is seeking qualified analysts to join a team supporting Caerus’ on-going work related to Syria and Iraq. The superior candidate will have 3 to 5 years of professional experience analyzing political, economic, and/or security developments for clients in the public or private sector in the Middle East / North Africa region. Strong writing skills, the ability to work independently as well as part of a team, and robust analytical skills are all paramount.

Proficiency in Modern Standard Arabic and Levantine dialect is required; other languages (Turkish, Kurdish Persian) and dialects (Gulf) are also desired.
